Grow Up Girl

Enjoy a week of hands-on fun learning how American girls over time have experienced "growing up." Read from the American Girls book series, enjoy making art projects, making food from different time periods, and play games from the 1760s to the 1940s. Even put on a play to present to your parents the final day! Ages: 7 years and up. Fee: $90 for museum members, $110 for non-members

Livin' large in '04 . . . that's 1904!

Step back in time to experience growing up in rural America. Do farm chores, attend a one-room school, and meet the flora and fauna of the tall grass prairie! Ages: 8 years and up. Fee: $45 for museum members, $70 for non-members

The Curator is YOU!

Ever dream of being the curator in a museum? Now's your chance. Attend this week-long camp and be the curator! Work
behind-the-scenes at the Johnson County Museum. Handle museum collections and learn the in's and out's of curating your own exhibit. Exhibits created will be displayed at the Museum the entire month of July! Ages: 11 years and up. Fee: $90 for museum members, $110 for non-members

Explore the psychedelic times of the 1960s & 1970s when your grandparents were young! Experience the hands-on fun of the first video game, learn to dance to Disco classics, make fun art projects, and read the American Girl books about Julie, the 1970s youngster dealing with changes in society!
