Mormon Visitor's Center

Open daily 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. Features a 28-foot-high painting of the Second Coming  of Christ, with narration of his words.  Guided tours include historical exhibits and artifacts of Mormons in western Missouri - 1831 to 1839.  Enjoy a variety of movies on history, beliefs and purpose of life.  Free Admission.

Leavenworth, KS Chapel of the Veteran's
Eisenhower Dept. of Veterans Affairs Medical Center

Located on the grounds of the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, the Chapel, built in 1893 features architecture reminiscent of the early European cathedrals.  In 1921, the chapel was listed in Ripley's "Believe it or Not" as the only church in which Protestants and Catholic services were conducted simultaneously.
