Event planners who are preparing Civil War-related events in Missouri, local government officials, Chambers of Commerce, and Convention and Visitors Bureaus are invited to attend these free sessions, where they can meet commission members and representatives of the Missouri Division of Tourism and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to discuss various topics concerning sesquicentennial activities.

The Society invites local historical societies and museums, both public and private, to develop projects and activities that commemorate the 150th anniversary of this difficult and important period in our past.  The maximum award amount is $500, and the deadline for application is June 30, 2011.
