The Jefferson Highway was the first transcontinental international highway to traverse the North American continent from north to south.  Also known as the highway from ”Pine to Palm” the road runs from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada through Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana to New Orleans.

The National Archives at Kansas City is pleased to announce that it is one of seven locations across the country to host Primarily Teaching: Original Documents and Classroom Strategies.  The week long institute will be held June 25 - 29, 2012, at the National Archives, 400 West Pershing Road, Kansas City, MO 64108.
